Since first “going out on his own” in 1995, Mike Chandler has successfully developed the Chandler Associates consultancy brand, providing clients with support in the development of their businesses. He responds to an identified and researched niche need, namely supporting businesses of engineers, technologists and professionals who require business development assistance. Each of these clients receives a totally different approach and a bespoke solution.

Retaining his Chartered Engineer and Member of ICE status is of fundamental importance to him. He is also a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts (RSA) and recently gained a Diploma in Company Direction from the IoD.
Prior experience was gained over more than two decades by working in a variety of roles. This included the marketing of specialist risk management software in the chemical industry, selling computer bureau services to engineering companies and business development with a large engineering consultancy.
Recent experience includes working with universities, supporting them to develop productive partnerships to spin out their intellectual property and technology.
Trained as a Civil Engineer, he worked in nuclear power station construction, hydro-electric power station design and had a period in Southern Africa prior to gaining his M.Sc. before concentrating on business development.
Non-Executive Directorships and Public Appointments
Mike Chandler and Diane Davy have each held public sector appointments for a number of years.
Diane Davy believes fundamentally in the development of people for business success. Putting this into practice has resulted in considerable experience on all aspects of personal and professional development and she devotes considerable time to business performance mentoring and coaching, practical goal setting and CPD. Playing to another strength, Diane also project manages initiatives which focus on these issues. She is working increasingly on the development of trustees and non-executive directors in the public sector.
With experience of working in and around a wide range of sectors, Diane has developed expertise in supporting the building of partnerships and understanding across sectors in business, academia and not-for-profit areas.
Her early background as a Mechanical Engineer is complemented by more recent experience of working for the engineering and associated professions, and with the not-for-profit sector. She has experience of running organisations which cross the boundaries between business and the world of registered charities. Diane has now worked successfully as a consultant since 1998.
She is a registered Incorporated Engineer, is a Fellow of the Institute of Engineering and Technology (IET) and the Institute of Continuing Professional Development (InstCPD), and is a member of the Chartered Management Institute.
